What are the major changes? I gave up coffee, meat, fish, dairy and gluten; and I have to tell you I feel totally fabulous. And yet... The view of giving up cheese, bread, Ahi tuna or steak just seemed sooooo depressing. Then on a trip to a consulation in Nyc, my marvelous friend (and coach), Melissa Cassera, asked me if I had read the book Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin. After reading the book, she gave up coffee. A week later, I was totally motivated to get the audiobook version of Skinny Bitch after having a really bad allergic reaction to Ahi tuna I ate at a really, really good Philly restaurant. (We're talking throat conclusion up, heart racing, stuffy nose and watery eyes.) It was like: "Hello! - how many more nudges do you need?!"
After my little food allergy experience, I listened to the audiobook and ended up crying in my car listening to the animal slaughter practices. I felt like I was being torn apart. I knew that giving up meat and fish just was the right thing to do. And, wow, did I start to consideration a difference in the morning. I can really get moving. I don't feel like I need coffee. I'm also not feeling hungry every hour in the morning as I used to.
So, if you haven't already guessed - the little-known hidden to boosting your energy is to eat foods closest to mum Nature. Yes, that means eating a largely plant-based diet. Your corporal energy level will sky-rocket.
